If it's a small illustration like caricature, wedding board, or web site illustration for individuals etc.,. Please NOTE: I'll start work on the project after the confirmation of payment.

★ The general process for the Website illustrations for individual customers

 

(Client) Order→(Both) Contact by email→ (Client) Send photos or references by email→ (Artist) Idea Sketch → (Client) Confirmation of the Idea Sketch → (Artist) rough sketch → (Client) Confirmation of the rough sketch → (Artist)pencil sketch → (Client) Confirmation of the pencil sketch (If you have corrections, additions, changes, should be up to this stage )→ (Client) Pay of the production cost → (Artist) Work on the trace the pencil sketch after the confirmation of payment → (Client) Confirmation of the Trace → (Artist) Work on the Final → (Client) Confirmation of the Final → (Artist) Delivery of the projects 

 

 

 

 ★ Process for slightly larger projects

1. Order

　　　・First, fill in the form with questions, contact information, requests etc. (Please let me know if you have a reference or not)                               (FREE) 　　

             ・ If you prefer delivery of the projects by data, please let me know which software, version, file form, file size.

　　　　(I'm using Adobe Illustrator CS5, Photoshop CS5 on Macintosh.

　　　　hand-painted art & digital art: JPEG, PDF, PING. Vector art & design : AI, EPS, PDF   )

             ・I'll email back the rough estimate, process, schedule, etc.,.

                        ↓

            ・If you are agree with the estimate etc., I'll start with the planning and contact you by email.

 

 

                       ↓

2. Contact

           ・I'll contact you by computer, please make sure you are able to see mails and pictures from the computer.

 

            ・Please send me picture or references by email.

 

                     ↓

 

3. Offer the Idea Sketch

     I'll give you my 1st idea sketch (it's just a quick pencil sketch to give you an idea) sent as a JPEG by email

 

             ・Please pick best one from these ideas. 

           ・It's still possible to correct, add to, and change it.

             ・It's FREE to cancel until this stage.

4. Offer the rough sketch

    If the idea sketch is confirmed, I'll give you another rough sketch for some projects. This is to clarify the image.

    (this will be before the final pencil sketch. it's a rough sketch)

 

           ・At this stage the drafts are on layout paper.

           ・The fee for small corrections. Major contents changes will cost 3,000 yen for 1 idea + Tax after the three free ideas. 

           ・Cancellation at this stage incurs a fee of 30% of the estimate price.

           ・If you don't contact me within 7days, I'll assume you have approved it, so you will not able to correct, ,or make additions or  changes anymore.

5. The Final Pencil Sketch

     After confirming your payment, I'll start work on the final pencil sketch. This is the major line artwork before the final work.

 　 (This is still on layout paper. However, this stage is very important, please make sure that you don't have corrections, additions,                        changes etc. If you want me to correct something after I trace it on the watercolor paper, the line and paper will be messed up                        when I paint)      

 

　　・ If you have corrections, additions, or changes, please let me know by this stage.

　　・The fee for small change. If it's a big change you will be charged 30% ~ of total cost. Also, the deadline may be extended depending on level of                            change.

        ・Major contents changes will cost 3,000 yen for 1 idea + Tax after the three free ideas. 

        ・If you don't contact me back within 7days, I'll assume you have approved it, so you will not able to correct, add, or change anymore. 

        ・Cancellation at this stage incurs a fee of 30% ~of the estimate price. 

 　　　　　    

 

6. Pay the production cost

    Please pay the rest of the production cost and including if you have incur addition fee within 2 weeks.

 

      ・Let me know if you need Invoice and receipt.

7. Tracing

    After the final pencil sketch is confirmed, if it's hand-painted art I will trace the sketch on watercolor paper etc.,

　or if it's digital art I will trace into the computer and I will start work on line art.

 

　    ・ If it's hand-painted art  I can't correct after tracing on the watercolor paper, so let me know if you have correction etc. by this stage.

　   ・If it's digital art, fee for small change. If it's a big change will charge 30% ~ of total cost. The deadline may be extended depending on level of change.              ・If it's digital art the contents change will charge 3000 yen + tax for 1 idea after the three ideas. 

       ・If you don't contact me back within 7days, I'll assume you have approved it, so you will not able to correct, addition, change anymore.

       ・Cancellation at this stage incurs a fee of 50% of the estimate price + material cost like papers.

8. The Final

 　Then final painting. I'll send you confirmation data, after I'm done with the final (confirmation data will be a low resolution) 

 

     ・If it's hand-painted art I can't change anything.

     ・If it's digital art, big corrections, additions, changes it's 50%~ of total cost.

     ・If you don't contact me back within 7days, I'll assume you have approved it, so you will not able to correct, addition, change anymore.

     ・ Cancellation at the final stage will incur a charge of 100% of the remaining production cost and material costs such as paper.

9. Pay the rest of the production cost

     Please pay the rest of the production cost and including if you have incur addition fee within 2 weeks.

 

      ・Let me know if you need Invoice and receipt.

10. Delivery of project

 　After payment is confirmed, except for special cases, delivery of the data.

 

     ・I usually delivery the project 2-3 weeks for 1illustration, but it's maybe extended by depend on the schedule, concept, number of                    pictures, so please make sure of the schedule.
